The redeeming factor is that upon realising his mistake and betrayal by being at first 'blinded' by his love/lust for Delilah and then being physically blinded through torture by his enemies, he realises his wrongdoing and gets the final laugh, although still a tragic end.
I'm going to be interested in the interpretation of the Samson and his relationship with Delilah as to whether she will be cast as a conniving, self seeking, egotistical woman or whether she realises her weakness for Samson but is too late.
It will also be interesting to see Billy Zane and the rest of the cast portraying this story on big screen, a story that has been told before but to this generation i.e. in the light of 'Hulk', 'Thor', Superman and other more recently physically powerful male 'super power humans' if Samson will be cast in the same league.
Trailers haven't hit NZ yet, but looking forward to viewing an old story through current movie media...
